Everything travels over encrypted HTTPS and is never sold. It is shared only with the providers needed to run CareerLift — Anthropic for the AI analysis, Gumroad for payment, and our hosting provider. Beyond that, the honest answer differs by tool, so here is each one:

Emailed whole-resume review (this page). Your pasted resume text is erased as soon as the report is generated and emailed. The finished report is kept for up to 30 days behind a private link so you can re-open it; after 30 days the whole record, report included, is deleted automatically. If a job fails before it completes, the pasted text is erased within about two days rather than waiting for that 30-day sweep.

Free job-match check (careerlift.agency/tailor/). Neither your resume nor the posting is stored at all. We keep one line recording the date, your IP address, how many characters you pasted and which tool you used — for abuse prevention and cost control.

Paid $19 rewrite. We deliberately do keep the rewritten output — not your resume — stored against a one-way hash of your licence key, so it can be re-sent if you close the tab. Same one-line record as above. The job-match tool also saves what you type in your own browser so it survives the trip to checkout; there is a “Clear my pasted text” button there for shared computers.
